Karin Kraemer who recently celebrated the opening of her new Lincoln Park location is showing her work at Zeitgeist Arts Café alongside colleague and tile maker Pat Joyelle. Kraemer paints in the Majolica tradition making for colorful and vibrant paintings and patterns often inspired by the natural world. The two have collaborated on the Duluth Grill Coffee mugs and Joyelle brings her painting to life on colorful tiles as well.

Artist Sue Rauschenfels has a show opening this evening at the Zeitgeist Arts Cafe; likewise Shawna Gilmore's Land of Wonder and Ken Bloom's Public Domain open this week at the Duluth Art Institute.

Annie Dugan calls Carolyn Olson's work "hot spicy casserole on the coldest day of winter."

Olson has an exhibit opening tonight at the Zeitgeist.

  This week Duluth artist Ann Klefstad joins us to talk about "Flight," her new show at Zeitgeist with Bridget Riversmith, as well as the "The Art of Local Food" event happening this week.Klefstad shares her new work in a conversation about the courage and strength conjured up by painting with sumi ink, the black Chinese ink she uses in her latest work. This work is on display in the new show "Flight," up at Zeitgeist Arts Cafe, along with the work of Bridget Riversmith.  

Monday December 8th, from 5-7p.m. one of Duluth's favorite children's author and illustrator, Chris Monroe is opening a show of new work at Zeitgeist Arts Caf? on Superior Street.
