Richard I. Bong Veterans Historical Center

A fresh approach to learning will take place this Friday when children and their parents camp overnight at the Richard I. Bong Veterans Historical Center in Superior, the first overnight program at the museum.  Camp Bong is for kids ranging from grade 3 to grade 8, and will include a range of activities and discussions with veterans of World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.

The UMD Tweed Museum of Art is closed for a few months for a behind the scenes construction project.  All the art has been moved out of the museum so the space can get a heating and ventilation renovation.  The upside is that all that art, although temporarily stowed away, will come back in a new and re-invented collection of exhibits. Radio Gallery takes you on a behind the scenes tour from the museum preparator, Anneliese Verhoeven.
