Storm recovery continues across the area, with power being restored to more areas, including UMD. KUMD is now back on the air, and the Rolling Thunder Reunion show will go on at the Weber Music Hall tonight as planned.

Mayor Larson will be holding a press conference with representatives from Minnesota Power and St. Louis County at 10 this morning for an update on the storm recovery efforts.

Duluth continues to recover from Thursday night's destructive storms, widespread power outages, and high temperatures.

UMD sent out an alert around 6 this morning that, due to the continued power outage, campus will again be closed for today. KUMD will remain off the air until power is restored to campus.

UMD's MPIRG chapter and the North Star Chapter of the Sierra Club want to get you talking to the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission.

They don't think Minnesota Power's 25 year energy plan does enough to get rid of coal plants and replace them with clean, renewable energy, and they want people to make their opinions known before the PUC  rules on Minnesota Power's proposal.

The public comment period closes at the beginning of March.
