With a week and a half left before final versions of legislation are headed to the floor of the Minnesota Legislature,  Representative Mike Sundin (DFL District 11A)  brings us an update.

In addition, he pulls no punches in his disappointment at what he calls the "robbing of the general fund" to pay for transportation.

Pavel Arkhipenkov

Today, Student Views host Pavel Arkhipenkov welcomes Legislative Relations Committee Director Jacob Griffiths to discuss UMD lobbying efforts and plans for 2018. The LRC, is a Student Association sub-committee that "facilitates students to work with legislators at the local, state, and federal levels to pursue meaningful change pertaining to issues facing UMD students, such as higher education funding." ~ from the UMD Student Association website.

The Minnesota legislature has made some changes in the ATV (all-terrain vehicle) rules and regulations.  DNR Conservation Officer John Velsvaag says they won't affect a lot of people, but the changes are so new, they're not even available online yet.  The best way to get more information is to call 888-646-6367.
