This spring, Radio Gallery has dedicated a lot of time to recognizing local student artists, because they often bring new, unique ideas to the field. This week, we talk with ceramics professor Dorian Beaulieu about the Visiting Artist, Tate Rich, who is showing his work and talking with students at Lake Superior Community College March 25th-28th.

"Wanderings" is a July exhibit at Pizza Luc? by Bailey Aro that features images of nature and her travels from Duluth to Nepal and many places in between. This exhibit is free and open to the public.

The opening reception begins at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Pizza Luc?, 11 East Superior Street, Duluth, MN 55802. The exhibit will run the whole month of July and all of the images are available for purchase.

Local artist Jason Huntzinger joins Radio Gallery in the studio to share details about the Art & Music Premiere. It will take place on Saturday, November 5th at 7p.m. at 2104 East Superior St., Duluth, MN.

This is a free self-guided tour that allows the opportunity to visit the studios of the artists to view and purchase their artwork. Crossing Borders takes place from September 24th to October 3rd.

One of the major landmarks located on the campus of the University of Minnesota is The Weisman Art Museum. It is a stainless steel building overlooking the Mississippi River. On Thursday August 23rd The Weisman is presenting a free panal discussion that will be exploring "WAM Chatter: Do local artists count?."
