KUMD Presents The Sound Sessions

KUMD is proud to partner with Sound, downtown Duluth's new restaurant and music venue, to bring you unique concert experiences featuring fantastic on-stage collaborations from musicians including this month's performers: 

For the third year UMD students, educators and entrepeneurs will come together for the 2017 UMD Entrepreneurship Conference. People who attend will hear from successful local, regional, and national entrepreneurs about the impact they have had in their respective fields as well as attend workshops and network. Paid attendees will be provided lunch and all attendees will recieve snacks and refreshments. 

This conference is an initiative of The Labovitz School of Business and Economics (LSBE) and is 100% student-run.

Bob Dylan and Mavis Staples are bringing their tour to St. Paul and we want to send our listeners as a way of saying "thank you" for helping us reach our goal during our Fall Membership Drive. Tune in for a pledge-free week October 16 through October 20 to enter our drawing! 

Listen everyday this week for chances to call and enter, you can enter once per day.  The winners will be announced on Friday, October 20. The show takes place on Wednesday, October 25 at 7:30PM at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, MN.

Before turning it's eye on Florida, Hurricane Irma left catastrophic devestation in the Carribean. People are without homes, running water, or electricity. Join us for this upcoming benefit show as we raise money to purchase clean water for victims of Hurricane Irma.

The Basement Takeover on October 6, College Radio Day!

Tune in Friday, October 6 as KUMD celebrates College Radio Day along with stations across the country.  The Basement djs takeover the airwaves all day! KUMD was started 60 years ago by students at the University of Minnesota Duluth and celebrating our deep college roots, check out the student playlists of new alternative music from hip-hop to indie rock to electronic.

The Basement is partnering with Kirby Program Board and UMD Homecoming Court to bring Minneapolis Native hip hop artist, Prof, right to the University of Minnesota Duluth for UMD's 2017 Homecoming Concert. This is event is free for UMD students! Entry with student ID only.

For the 16th year, our friends at Beaner's Central are hosting a week-long series of live music featuring local musicians. The performances will be recorded for Volume 16 of the Beaner's One Week Live compilation album. KUMD is so proud to be a supporter of Beaner's week of live music year after year. Tune in to 103.3 KUMD on Thursday, September 28 to hear our Live from Studio A session with Average Mammals leading up to the show.
