Homegrown week continued on KUMD as Gaelynn Lea and Dan Dresser, also known as the Getarounds, joined us for a session from May 2, 2014. They talk about how they formed their duet and play some of their songs.

Radio Gallery spotlights the work of Letisha Rice, a UMD Grad who is showing her work in the Duluth Homegrown Music Festival art exhibit "Past, Present and Future: Teachers of Visual Arts," Thursday May 3 at 5pm at the Red Mug Coffee House & Gallery, opening Thursday evening.

The Homegrown Music Festival is coming up! It runs from Sunday April 29 - Sunday May 6, 2012. The festival showcases music, videos, and art from around the area with different acts and exhibits every day.

This week Radio Gallery is spotlighting a special exhibit: Homegrown: Visual Arts Edition in the Corridor Gallery. The festival runs from April 5th through May 26th at the Duluth Art Institute.

Live painting: Useful Jenkins in Eau Claire, WI

Join us as we talk with Jeredt Runions, a very influential artist and live painter located in Duluth, Minnesota. He will be painting at the "Respect You Mother Earth Festival" on May first. Runions also has a show going up at Red Mug Coffee House in Superior on Firday, May 7th, during the Homegrown Festival.
