Women's Words on Sunday October 7 featured P.A. Pashibin, reading to us three poems, "Fall Plantings," "Last Ant, Under Glass," and "Beauty."

Women's Words: October 7, 2012: P.A. Pashibin

P. A. Pashibin (aka Paulette Warren) is a poet and folk artist. She received her MFA in writing from Hamline University's Graduate School of Liberal Studies, 2008, and was selected to study with poet Ted Kooser in UMD's advanced writing workshop, summer, 2008. Her poetry and essays have appeared in anthologies and literary journals including Trail Guide to the Northland and Response (Calyx Press), MIZNA, The Journal of Poetry Therapy, The Journal of Graduate Liberal Studies and E-Calliope , an internet journal; in local poetry group anthologies including Lunch (Minnesota Poetry Therapy Network), Out On A Limb (Loose Leaf Poetry) and Poetry Garden Volumes 1 and 2 (E. Marsh Publications). She has self-published three limited edition poetry chapbooks. Recently, her poem " Picking Time" was chosen for poster publication in Postcards From Our Estuary, 2012 (sponsored by the Superior Council for the Arts).

Pashibin is currently working on a collection of three dimensional "pages" that bring together her poems, photographs, collage works, paintings, and found objects as picasiette mosaics.

She is a member and/or supporter of The Loft Literary Center, Lake Superior Writers, Minnesota Poetry Therapy Network, Peace Writers, Superior Council for the Arts, and the Spirit Lake Poetry Series.
