"Reframing Ophelia": Hamlet's silenced love finds her voice

Poor Ophelia.

Torn between the conflicting demands and definitions of her father, brother and Hamlet (or perhaps their habit of speaking for her instead of letting her speak for herself), she is driven mad.

But this new exhibit at the Tweed Museum of Art, Reframing Ophelia, other traditionally marginalized and "spoken for" artists have their opportunity to interpret the themes in Hamlet from Ophelia's perspective.
