Radio Gallery 12-01-2010: Ann Gumpper

Gumpper shares with Radio Gallery the exciting and challenging experience of being the set designer for the upcoming performance of Man of La Mancha at Teatro Zuccone. She explains the way that shadows, sounds, and props will all work together in creating the atmosphere of the prison that is central to the theme in the production. The set will be made in order to provide the audience with the sensation of being inside the prison with the prisoners in Man of La Mancha. The story presents the themes of finding hope in the midsts of despair, and Gumpper presents the way in which she has worked in order to convey that in the set as a whole. Tickets for Man of La Mancha are on sale now and it will be performed at the Teatro Zuccone located at 222 E. Superior Street in downtown Duluth on December 2nd-4th from 9:00-11:00, December 16th-18th at 7:30, and December 5th, 12th, and 19th at 2:00.
