Our Fall series of studio interviews continues with voices of Minnesota artists from their own spaces, where they live, work or make their livelihood. This week we feature metal sculpture, Sam Wolfson.
Produced by: Maija Jenson
By venturing into metal scrap yards, Wolfson finds the materials and inspiration for his pieces. His work recently appeared in the three day annual gallery crawl, "Art Attack," which went from November 2nd thru the 4th. As part of the strong community of artist's in the Northrup King Building of Northeast Minneapolis, Wolfson also participates in opening his studio for people to view his work on the first Thursday of every month from 5pm to 9pm. Listen as Wolfson explains how he came into metal sculpting, as well as the challenges he faces in creating each new piece.
Listen all fall to hear artists from beginners to professionals in their own spaces.
