Radio Gallery 09-21-2011: Lee Ross

This week Radio Gallery celebrates the 15th Annual Crossing Borders Studio Tour, which begins September 23, 2011 and continues through October 2, 2011. The Crossing Borders Studio Tour is a free self-guided tour that features work in stone sculpture, Ojibwe art work, pottery, weaving, glass sculpture and jewelry, print making, and much more. It features 8 studios and 22 artists along the Highway 61 corridor from Two Harbors to Grand Portage. Lee Ross, a stone and clay sculpture artist, is one of the artists being featured in the tour. She joins Radio Gallery to share details about her work and the inspiration she has gained from the North Shore. Ross also explains how the Annual Crossing Borders Studio is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the hospitality of the artists while also having a chance to see how the artists live and what they surround themselves with.
