Duluth's Life House celebrates its 25th anniversary this year with a campaign to finance the renovation of the third floor of their building and provide more emergency and transitional housing for homeless youth.

And they're going about it by taking on the myths and misconceptions about homeless kids in a six part lecture series, designed to educate the community, inspire compassion and dispel the "it's their own fault" mentality.

"He should just get a job."

"If they'd followed the rules at home, they'd never have been kicked out - they asked for it."
