Cars, campers, tents, fish houses: no place for home

Every January, St. Louis County undertakes a count of "unsheltered homeless": people living in places "not meant for human habitation."

The CHUM shelter in Duluth is often full to overflowing and there are only 12 beds available in northern St. Louis County.

The numbers for this year aren't available yet, but in  2017, there were 193 people and that number was up from 2016.
