7/22 Eric Andersen with Scarlet Rivera and Cheryl Prashker
Renowned folk singer/songwriter Andersen was in the thick of the Greenwich Village music scene of the '60s alongside Phil Ochs, Dave Van Ronk, Ramblin' Jack Elliott, and of course, Bob Dylan.
He performed as part of Dylan's 1975 Rolling Thunder Revue, which also included violinist Rivera, who'd played on Dylan's Desire and Hard Rain albums. Andersen's released 25 albums of original music in his long career, performed internationally, and had his songs covered by everyone from Johnny Cash to the Grateful Dead.
He and Rivera will reunite, accompanied by guitarist Steve Abbaddo and percussionist Cheryl Prashker, for a show to benefit Duluth's Armory Arts and Music Center on Saturday, July 23 at 7:30pm at the Weber Music Hall on the UMD campus.
Andersen, Rivera, and Prashker will join us in the studio for a preview on Friday, July 22 at 2pm.
