10/28 Green Visions: Duluth is a "port of possibilities"

Oct 28, 2015

On October 5th, thirty citizens turned out on a cloudy morning in Lusten to help dedicate the first community solar garden on the North Shore. Arrowhead Electric Cooperative and Great River Energy shared in the planning and development of the 60 KW solar array. Just as the citizens and customers walked up the road behind the Coop for the ribbon cutting ceremony, the sun came out!

You almost need a program to keep track of all the clean energy projects going on in the Northland these days.

Work continues on the 2025 Action Plan, the Georgetown University Energy Prize Competition and the Arrowhead Energy Cooperative just opened a solar garden for its customers.

Luckily, Bill Mittlefehldt of Northeast CERT (Clean Energy Resource Teams)  is keeping track for us.
